I believe in one God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 5:16, 6:1,4,8,9; James 1:17; John 1:1, 14:9; Genesis 1:2; II Peter 1:21)
I believe God is the Creator of all things seen and unseen.
(Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 11:3)
I believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the Father, and Savior of the world.
(John 1:14; I John 4:9; John 3:16; Hebrews 1:1-3)
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit
Born of a virgin
(Matthew 1:18, Luke 1:26-27)
He died on the cross, was buried, and rose again bodily from the grave.
(Luke 23:44-24:8; John 20:24-29; I Corinthians 15:3-8)
He ascended into heaven; seated at the Father’s right hand.
(Luke 22:69; Acts 1:1-9; Colossians 3:1)
Who will return to earth to judge both the living and the dead.
(Matthew 24:36-42; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:10-11, 10:39-42; I Peter 4:5)
I believe in the Holy Spirit. A personality Who is membered with the triune God.
(John 16:5-15; Acts 1:7-8; Matthew 28:19)
Who indwells every Christian
(I Corinthians 3:15, 6:19; II Timothy 1:14)
Who empowers Christians for works of service.
(I Corinthians 12:4-11)
Who enables us to live Christ-like lives.
I believe that man, created by God, willfully sinned and as a result, is broken and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.
(Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23)
I believe in Salvation (the forgiveness of sins) and that it comes by grace through faithfulness toward, in, and of Jesus Christ.
(Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; I Peter 1:18-19; I John 1:7)
I believe in the Scriptures. It is God’s Holy Word to humanity, it was inspired by and continues to be illumined by God-Spirit.
(I Corinthians 2:12-13; Timothy 3:14-16; II Peter 1:20-21)
I accept the 66 books of the Bible as authoritative for all matters of faith and practice. I believe in many other writings (Apocrypha, Patristics) that issue wise advice and are well-received, but not universally authoritative for the Church.
(Isaiah 40:8; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12; II Timothy 3:16)
I believe that the Church is the body and bride of Christ, founded on the day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere.
(Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:14-47)
I believe that God has ordained offices of ministers to exercise spiritual leadership and authority over local congregations.
(Acts 20:28; I Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; I Peter 5:1-4)
